I Dont Understand

So I was having a conversation with my friend about relationships (which is what many of my recent conversations have been about) so I asked my friend...

Me: Why have you never tried to ask me out?

Friend Guy: U want 2 much

Me: How?

Friend Guy: u want a nigga to be faithful and funny. sometimes niggas just wanna fuck.

Since when did wanting someone with a personality and be able to keep their dick in their pants wanting too much? Do any of us know what we really want?



Now here we are, I'm single as hell and apparently I've been told I'm "picky". Not once have I said dude has to be sexy (it does help tho), not once did I say he had to be a college graduate (it does help tho), and not once have I said he had to be hung like a fire hose (once again, it does help lol). Hm, my question to you dear people who are reading my blog...do we really know what the fuck we want?

Due to recent situations (been single for about a week), I've asked myself what I really want within a partner, and my list is as follows:

• Faithful (Apparently everyone doesn't have that quality)
• Funny (No one wants a super serious, monotonous relationship)
• Goal oriented (Everyone might not be where they want to be in life, but at least have some idea of where you're trying to go)
• Commonalities (If you don't have shit in common with them, it'll go stale real quick)
• Attractive (Now I'm not saying that they have to be a 10, but lets be real. If you're not remotely attracted to the person at all, they could be the best person in the world and have all of the qualities you want and then some, you wouldn't even give them a chance)
• Someone who lets me be me (If I feel uncomfortable, why waste my time?)
• Can "have sex" lol (lets be real, if the sex is whack and they can't be taught....why?)

I know what I want and I would never call myself picky. I believe that what I'm asking for from my partner, I'm also bringing those same qualities to the table. I implore you to think about what you want, and then do a self-evaluation. Ask yourself whether you're bringing something worth having to the table, or are you asking for others to have what you don't?
